Artist Bio

Alex Andriesse is a visual artist based in Santa Barbara. Since 1998 while living and going to school in New Orleans he has been specializing in painting, mixed media, digital art, graphic design and printing. Even though the pieces rely heavily on hard line illustration. Colors, patterns and composition have been the theme of most of the new series of works. Currently operating out of Mason Street Studios and Gallery in a formerly industrial area of Santa Barbara he has been able to expand into large complex colorful pieces using primarily acrylic paints and ink on stretched canvas and stained plywood.
